Agreement to these terms

By creating a CalmExpense account or using the CalmExpense dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What CalmExpense is

CalmExpense is a personal finance tool that turns bank CSV statements into a clean, categorised spending dashboard inside your own Google Sheets. It runs as a Google Sheets and Google Apps Script application in your own Google account. It does not link to your bank and does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice.

Free trial

• New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access to the dashboard.
• No credit card is required to start the trial.
• Your trial begins when you verify your email address, so an unverified signup does not quietly use up your trial days.
• When the trial ends, you can purchase a license to keep full access. Without a purchase, your existing data remains in your own Google Sheet in a read-only capacity on our side.

Pricing and payment

• CalmExpense is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There are no recurring charges.
• The current launch price is 29.90 US dollars, reduced from a regular price of 59.90 US dollars. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms as the payment processor.
• We may change our pricing in the future, but a change never affects a purchase you have already completed.

Refund policy

Because you get a full 14-day free trial before paying, you can be sure CalmExpense is right for you before you buy. If something is not working as described after your purchase, contact us through our contact page within 14 days of payment and we will work with you to make it right, including a refund of your one-time payment where appropriate.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide a valid email address and keep it up to date.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use CalmExpense.
• You may not share, resell, or sublicense your access to others.

Data ownership

Your data is yours. The spending data CalmExpense produces lives inside a Google Sheet on your own Google Drive, which you own and control. You can export, copy, or delete it at any time without involving us. Removing our access does not delete your data. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Acceptable use

When using CalmExpense, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Submit content that is malicious, such as code intended to harm other users.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.

Service availability

The dashboard runs largely inside Google's platform (Google Sheets and Google Apps Script), so its availability depends in part on Google's services, which are outside our control. We work to keep CalmExpense running reliably, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

No financial advice

CalmExpense is a tool for organising and visualising your own numbers. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Decisions you make based on the dashboard are your own responsibility.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalmExpense is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss of data, profits, or savings arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for CalmExpense in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using CalmExpense at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms or is used to harm the service or other users. If we terminate your account, your data still remains in your own Google Sheet under your control.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, make the update clear. Continuing to use CalmExpense after a change means you accept the updated terms.
